The very first original track Falaena worked on as a group. Complementary riffs, rhythms, and baroque-influenced segues were arranged during rehearsals in spring 2014. The lyrics attack 'deep politics' and the engineering of social trends towards increased centralisation of control.
This is certainly the most progressive track on 'Exquisite Music for Discerning Adults', and a great close to the EP.
lyrics
Hell on Earth (Lipscombe)
You’re confused and you’re tired,
Too worn out to decide,
As we’re changing what’s right,
And we’re changing your mind.
Sleep,
Deep,
Relinquish: everything’s
Beyond your control.
You’ll never know,
Who speaks the truth,
Who’s being used.
You’ve no idea,
What to believe,
You’re confused.
You will accept,
You will accept,
Eternal war.
You will accept,
You will accept,
That you’re poor.
You feel you can’t fight,
And you cannot decide,
When you’re traumatised,
You can’t control your mind.
Sleep,
Deep,
Relinquish: everything’s
Beyond your control.
You’ll never know,
Who speaks the truth,
Who’s being used.
You’ve no idea,
What to believe,
You’re confused.
You will accept,
You will accept,
Eternal war.
You will accept,
You will accept,
That you’re poor.
Nations disappear.
One World Order’s on the way,
There’s no such thing as sovereign nations,
In One World Legal System,
Just rulers and servants,
Just rulers and servants.
I make your children blind,
So history’s only seen by elite eyes,
And none shall know: in the past man was free,
They must ask for everything from me.
Time passes by,
As we sit and wait for generations to die,
Your grandchildren chipped: brains wired with an aim,
Slave boys, slave girls the same.
